The Chicago Printers Guild Publishers Fair will be on Saturday, November 14th at Chicago Athletic Association Hotel at 12 S Michigan Ave from 10 to 4pm. The CPG Publishers Fair is our annual flagship event, offering members of our organization and printmakers from across Chicagoland a venue and in-person marketplace to showcase and sell their work.

In celebration of Dr. Margaret Taylor Burroughs’s birthday month, join the Chicago Printers Guild and the South Side Community Art Center for Print Futures: Community Print Party, an afternoon of printmaking, creative exchange, and community connection as part of GRABADOLANDIA.
Honoring Dr. Burroughs’s printmaking legacy and the spirit of creative exchange she nurtured, this hands-on gathering invites printmakers of all experience levels to experiment, make art, and connect in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.
Come early to explore collage and Risograph printing, or join us later in the afternoon for relief printing. Whether you’re an experienced printmaker, a student, or simply curious about the process, everyone is welcome to participate, play, and connect through print.
About GRABADOLANDIA
Organized by the Instituto Gráfico de Chicago (IGC), GRABADOLANDIA inspires new generations to engage in printmaking as a social force. Through an international portfolio exchange, community workshops, and a three-day printmaking festival, the project expands access to cultural resources and events.
Taking place November 20–22, 2026, across Pilsen, Bridgeport, and Chicago, GRABADOLANDIA is a free, family-friendly celebration spanning multiple cultural venues throughout the city. The primary print vendor fair will be hosted at the National Museum of Mexican Art in Pilsen, with additional activations at print shops, museums, and cultural spaces throughout the weekend.
GRABADOLANDIA welcomes artists, students, youth, Latinx families, working-class families, and communities of color. All events are free and open to the public!

Stone Age: A Lithography Showcase
Do we rock and roll? Yes, but in this show artists used rocks and rollers to make gorgeous prints! The gallery show, Stone Age, at the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative will feature handmade fine art lithograph prints. Artists grain, draw, and print from a stone to create their work. Risograph, Relief & Monotype
Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
For this hands-on workshop, you will explore color interactions and texture through three printmaking techniques: risography, a high-speed digital screen printmaking method, relief printing, a process in which the printing surface is carved away, leaving a raised area to be inked, and monotype, a spontaneous, painterly technique in which a print is made from pressing paper on a painted glass, metal, or plastic sheet.
Chicago Printers Guild members Gabe Hoare and Eric Von Haynes will demonstrate these printing methods, leading you through the layering of patterns and chromatic gradients to create compositions that are more than the sum of their parts.
The workshop will begin with a brief tour of Press & Pull at 12:30 p.m. The workshop begins at 1 p.m., and participants are encouraged to register here. If you wish, you can attend the tour without participating in the workshop.
Open to both newcomers and experienced printmakers. No previous printmaking experience is required. Materials, equipment, and light refreshments will be provided.
ABOUT:
Eric Von Haynes is a printmaker, designer, publisher, and educator with over 15 years of experience leading Flatlands Press, an independent imprint recognized for innovative design, collaborative publishing, and community-based projects. He serves as President of the Chicago Printers Guild, is a member of the Zinemercado team, and is an Instructor of Printmedia at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he teaches courses in offset production, substrates, and documentation.
His work is held in the collections of the Joan Flasch Artist Book Collection in Chicago, the Center for Book Arts in New York, and the Illinois State Museum, and has been exhibited at venues including the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, and Elephant Room Gallery.
In 2020, Eric co-founded Love Fridge Chicago, a mutual aid initiative that supports citywide access to free food and essential resources through a network of community fridges. Across his artistic, educational, and community work, he is committed to using print, design, and collaborative publishing as tools for connection, access, and civic engagement.
Gabe Hoare is a Chicago-based artist working primarily in lithography. His work is a reflection of the absurd world we inhabit. Anthropomorphic tugboats, animals, and mutated fast food touch upon themes of greed, gluttony and ignorance.
In 2012, Hoare co-founded Hoofprint Workshop with artist and printmaker Liz Born. Now operating as Hoofprint Chicago, the collaborative printmaking studio and fine-art publisher produces editions in lithography, relief, intaglio, monotype, and screenprinting while working with artists from Chicago and beyond. Over more than a decade, Hoofprint has published collaborative editions with dozens of artists and developed a broader practice encompassing exhibitions, workshops, teaching, and community printmaking projects.
Hoare received his BFA from the University of Florida and subsequently worked at Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop and Tandem Press, where he assisted artists including Eddie Martinez, Sam Gilliam, and Suzanne Caporael.

Come join us for an in-person studio visit with Jaclyn Jacunski and Peter Miles Bergman!
Jaclyn Jacunski and Peter Miles Bergman have been friends for 20 years. Both have a practice rooted in print media and social practice that have branched into very separate spheres in their shared studio. Jaclyn has an interdisciplinary exhibition, curatorial, and activist practice centered on political controversies that surround land, communities, and acts of resistance. Known for using materials scavenged from building sites—often in gentrifying neighborhoods—Jacunski reveals how neighborhood landscapes become expressions of lived experiences resisting powerful cultural systems such as gentrification, environmental threats, and state violence.
Peter has a diverse, art-centered publishing and visual communication practice, ranging from publishing books and zines of his own authorship that examine humorous and slyly political interventions in space that unfold over time, publishing the work of other artists and designing work for clients of Quimby’s Ink, a division of Quimby’s Bookstore.

Sketchbook from Scraps Bookmaking Workshop
Join artist Millicent Kennedy for a hands-on bookmaking workshop where you’ll create your own blank journal or notebook using misprints, offprints, and studio scraps. This workshop emphasizes sustainability and creativity by transforming discarded materials into functional and beautiful objects.
Participants are welcome to bring their own printed papers for use as covers; however, all necessary tools and supplies will be provided. No prior bookbinding experience needed.

The Chicago Printers Guild presents “Books & Beats,” a NOITP series that includes interactive art-making activities for all ages and a variety of live music offerings. Create books & zines with artist Regin Igloria from North Branch Projects. Design your cover art with CPG artists Rachelle Hill and Liana Faletto, and move to the beat with an improvised Jazz set with local musician Fred Jackson Jr. and Marcus Evans.
